National Enquirer hid Trump secrets in a safe, removed them before inauguration
NBC News is reporting that:
The National Enquirer kept a safe containing documents on hush money payments and other damaging stories it killed as part of its cozy relationship with Donald Trump leading up to the 2016 presidential election.
Not only Trump secrets, but “Trump records were stored alongside similar documents pertaining to other celebrities’ catch-and-kill deals.” and while the article says “celebrities”, I think we can all acknowledge that “Politicians” is part of that group.
Several people familiar with the National Enquirer’s parent company, American Media Inc., ... said the safe was a great source of power for Pecker, the company’s CEO.

By keeping celebrities’ embarrassing secrets, the company was able to ingratiate itself with them and ask for favors in return.
Yeah. “Favors” from celebrities sounds pretty small fry. But if he really does have financial records or catch-and-kill deals (or other dealings), then he can do more than “gain access” or “ask for favors” from celebrities. He has perfect blackmail material for politician in the safe.
And if he’s really flipped, it’s because someone (Meuller?) decided the contents were worth investigation, and were able to wrangle them from Pecker.
Now sure, all of this is conjecture. But if true, we could see several politicians from both sides of the aisle come forward to try to shut this line of inquiry down. This could be just as dangerous for many politicians as Cohan is to Trump….
